Monthly Speakers

Join us each month for our featured speaker series, where we explore a diverse range of topics including local history, and  local people who have amazing stories to tell. It's an opportunity to learn, connect, and engage with our community. Don't miss out on these enlightening sessions that promise to broaden your horizons!

Our next meeting is Thursday December 11th.

The December meeting will be held at the Key Centre and is the WIM Christmas get-together. There will bubbly (both alcoholic and non alcoholic), a charity raffle and lots of fun and games!

 

Each member is asked to bring a plate of finger food that can be shared and a Secret Santa gift (maximum £5 spend). .

  • April 21st - Middleham Vet and Trainer - Neil Mechie

  • June 16th - Tales from a Chapel - Methodism in Middleham by Marion Moverly. This meeting will be held at the recently converted Chapel, now home to WIM member, Lisa Wallace.

  • July 21st - Grave Expectations, the lighter side of Undertaking by Leyburn Funeral Director Richard Sanderson

  • August 18th - Bee-lieve it or not, the wonders of Bee Keeping by Dina Salenova

​

  • September 15th - Confessions of a TV Producer by Richard Hague, former Producer on shows such as Pointless, House of Games, and Deal or No Deal

  •  October 20th - Spotlight on Richmonds Georgian Theatre Royal
